La festa di inaugurazione dell'Accademia d’Arte Circense di Verona

Riapre a Verona la scuola fondata da Egidio Palmiri. I vecchi allievi passano il testimone ai nuovi con un'esibizione da standing ovation. Alla serata inaugurale, lunedì 20 settembre, hanno partecipato numerose autorità: dal Sindaco e gli amministaratori regionali veronesi ai dirigenti del Ministero della Cultura r dell'AGIS

E’ stata inaugurata la nuova sede (provvisoria) dell’Accademia d’Arte Circense a Verona, in via Francia, presso l’ex Centrale del Latte. Lunedì 20 settembre lo chapiteau che ospita la palestra ha aperto le sue porte al pubblico che aspettava in grande quantità. C’erano la dottoressa Carmen Miranda, responsabile del dipartimento circhi e spettacolo viaggiante presso il Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali, il dott. Zanotto, Sindaco di Verona, il dott. Uboldi, assessore all’urbanistica e numerose altre autorità veronesi. C’erano membri della commissione ministeriale, giornalisti, uomini di cultura, semplici appassionati. Infine c’erano i circensi, numerosissimi, di ogni estrazione. Direttori di circhi piccoli, medi, grandi, grandissimi. Artisti, amici e famigliari di allievi vecchi e nuovi. A conferma di come l’Accademia sia ormai un’istituzione, ma prima ancora una piacevole abitudine, per il mondo del Circo italiano. Un’abitudine di cui si era dovuto privare già per troppo tempo.
La serata è iniziata con un filmato di un quarto d’ora sulla storia dell’istituzione, che condensava le tre puntate del documentario “Giovani in carriera”, mandate in onda qualche anno fa da RAI 3, ideate da Dino Emanuelli. La sintesi è stata curata da Antonio Giarola, presso il CEDAC. A seguire è avvenuta un’esibizione di alcuni allievi. Hanno iniziato alcuni non diplomati: Vanessa Conte e Orsa Cousin, che hanno in pratica mostrato i primi livelli dell’apprendimento. Poi alcuni giovani artisti che hanno frequentato l’Accademia solo di passaggio, come il giocoliere Tyron Colombaioni o Priscilla Errani (Hula Hoop). Poi sono si sono esibite le belle Zeudy Errani e Sue Ellen Roccuzzo, i fratelli Dell’Acqua, il prodigioso giocoliere Willy Colombaioni, e, con standing ovation, i fratelli Guido e Maycol Errani e i fratelli Adans e Ivan Peres. Questi ultimi sono arrivati a Verona in giornata dalla Germania, dove sono ingaggiati al GOP di Hannover.
Il nuovo direttore Andrea Togni ha preso la parola salutando e sottolineando la grande novità di quest’anno: l’accademia apre alle scolaresche di Verona. Due volte a settimana si terranno dei corsi con lezioni di due ore destinate a bambini indigeni di età superiore agli otto anni. Sono appena partite le iscrizioni e non si conoscono ancora le cifre, ma pare che ci sia parecchio interesse nella città scaligera.
A fine serata è intervenuto il Presidente e fondatore dell’Accademia, Egidio Palmiri, che dopo aver ringraziato le autorità presenti e la famiglia e lo staff di collaboratori di Enis Togni per il prezioso aiuto, ha dichiarato: “La riapertura dell’Accademia mi ha fatto dormire sonni agitati, ma questa sera, dopo aver rivisto questi ex allievi sono convinto di aver preso la decisione giusta”.
Gli unici crucciati per la grande qualità di questi campioni del circo, erano i 15 nuovi allievi. Tocca a loro adesso arrivare al livello di chi li ha preceduti. Da oggi, tutti al lavoro.

The new temporary seat of the Circus Art Academy, has been inaugurated in Verona,in Via Francia, where there was the old Central Dairy.
On the 20th of September the chapiteau opened its doors to a large audience: Carmen Miranda, the person in charge for the circus and traveling enterteinement department (Ministry of Culture); Mr Zanotto, Mayor of Verona; Mr Uboldi, town planning assessor, and many other Verona authorities.
There were members of the ministerial comission, journalists, men of culture, simple circus lovers; many circus-men of any kind; directors of big, small and medium circuses. There were artists, friends andformer and new student’s relatives.
That proves how the Academy has become an institution, but first of all a pleasant practice for the Italian world of Circus.
A practice which had disappeared for too much time.
The evening began with a short movie of 15 minutes about the history of the institution: an abbrevation of a documentary made by Dino Emanuelli, entitled “Career youngpeople”, appeared on television (RAI TRE) some years ago. The summery was cured by Antonio Giarola, from CEDAC. Next there was the performance of some students: Vanessa Conte e Orsa Cousin, for the first levels of learning.
Then some young artists who attended the Academy just for a short period, like the juggler Tyron Colomabaioni and Priscilla Errani (Hula Hoop). After that performed Zeudy Errani and Sue Ellen Roccuzzo, Dell’Acqua Brothers, the fabulous juggler Willy Colombaioni and, with a standing ovation, Guido and Maycol Errani and Adans and Ivan Peres, who arrived from Germany, where they work for GOP of Hannover.
The new director, Andrea Togni, announced the innovations for this year: two times a week there will be a course with lessons of two hours dedicated to children from Verona who are more than 8 years old. The registrations have just begun, we don’t know how many already joined but we find that Verona is really interested in this event.
At the end of the eveningthe President and Founder of the Academy, Egidio Palmiri, wanted to thank the authorities that partecipated in the inauguration, and also the staff of Enis Togni and his family for his precious help.
Palmiri said: “The reopening of the Academy made me sleep badly, but tonigh, after seeing the former students, I know that I made the right decision”.
The new students now have to work hard to achieve the level of the old famous students. From today, everybody at work.
